To secure your session with Yuka Schad Photography, a $300 session fee is required upon booking. This fee covers the time and talent of the photographer during your session. Please note that your session fee is separate from your digital collection payment and does not include any images, whether printed or digital.

All-inclusive Milestone packages offer an extraordinary opportunity to capture and preserve the precious moments of your baby's first year. They include a curated series of sessions designed to document every milestone—from the maternity stage through the tiny newborn phase to their first birthday.
Most of my clients choose maternity, newborn, sitter (6 months to 9 months), and first birthday sessions. If you're not interested in the maternity session, we can easily replace it with another session such as family, older sibling's birthday, 100-day-old baby, or even a breastfeeding session.

When you decide to book a session with me, the session fee is due at the time of booking to secure your date.

Before the photoshoot, please get in touch with me via email, text, or to coordinate props and outfit for the session. Once your baby arrives, please let me know within 48 hours, so I can secure a date for your session.

I’m thrilled to be a part of your special moments and look forward to a fun session. Once you arrive, it's your time to unwind and create cherished memories with your family.

After your session, within 2 weeks, you'll receive an email with your slideshow and edited images. Preview for 7 days, choose from three collections, then enjoy your full gallery for 3 months.
My style is natural, relaxed, and timeless yet modern style using only high end neutral soft color props with minimal style. I believe "Less is more". Focus on your baby and your family.

During the session, we also provide breaks for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes as needed. Our aim is to create a stress-free and enjoyable experience for both you and your baby, allowing plenty of time to capture all the little moments and details.

in-home session
I will visit your home and bring all the equipment and props, so you don’t need to drive anywhere! I understand how challenging it can be to venture outside, especially with a newborn, and even more so if you're first-time parents. I don't require a lot of space and can set up our 'mini studio' in any location, typically in the living room or bedroom. If necessary, we may need to rearrange furniture to accommodate our setup, but we'll return everything to its original place once we're done!
You can relax and enjoy your session in the comfort of your own home! Anything can happen, and chaos is welcome—there's no need to worry about a thing. Typically, we begin photographing in the morning 10 to 11 am.

With so many props such as knits, wraps, headbands, toys, bonnets, baskets and tiny bed and outfit to choose from, you don’t need to buy anything for your session. I have high end luxury props from all over the world that you would never consider buying for a shoot.
Booking
Scheduling your newborn photography session marks a significant step in preserving those precious early moments. Let's secure your session date in advance, aligning it with your due date.
Once your baby arrives, kindly inform me within 48 hours, allowing me to reserve a spot for your session. Given how swiftly newborns grow and change, the optimal time for capturing those adorable, curled-up poses is within the first two weeks of life. Prompt scheduling ensures we seize the delicate features and sweet expressions of your newborn during this fleeting window.
Should you or your baby require additional time at the hospital or home, preventing us from scheduling within the initial two weeks, fret not. We can still capture natural lifestyle shots, even if the baby is over two weeks old.
FAQ
It depends on each family but usually there will be 40 or more images for newborn session and 60 or more for other sessions such as sitter, first birthday and maternity.
Newborn sessions are preferably done within the first 14 days of life as this helps to position the baby without waking them up or making them uncomfortable. However I can do lifestyle newborn sessions for older babies. Please contact me for more details.
Newborn sessions usually last about 3 to 4 hours.

My maternity sessions take place outdoors during the golden hour, which is the last hour before sunset, to capture that beautiful, soft golden light. I love scheduling sessions during this time to ensure we capture the best moments. However, if your children usually go to bed around sunset, we can schedule the session for midday. Just keep in mind that the lighting will be different from the soft golden light of sunset.
The editing process typically takes around 2 to 3 weeks. During this time,I carefully select and retouch the best images from your session. I want to ensure that each photograph reflects our high standards of quality and artistry.
Absolutely! I offer a range of high-quality prints, albums, and other products to showcase your photographs. I will guide you through the ordering process and help you select the perfect products to display and cherish your images.
Since I have a young child, I only travel as far as Los Angeles County. Please contact me for more information.
If you're not interested in maternity photos, you can swap them for other sessions like family photos or a 100-day baby session. And if you start with the 'Two Sessions' package, you can always upgrade to the Four Sessions package later on.
Once you have secured your Package sessions, we will work together to schedule the milestone sessions at mutually convenient times. I recommend scheduling in advance to ensure availability and allow for proper planning.
Yes, you can add any session to your milestone at a discounted price. For example, a 60-minute full session with all digital images will be $500, normally priced at $1000.
Print credit is a credit that you can use to purchase à la carte print products from your gallery. After each session is completed, you will receive a print credit.
All-inclusive Milestone packages: The 4-session milestone package comes with a total print credit of $400, while the 2-session package includes $200 in total print credit. This credit allows you to bring your beautiful pictures to life beyond your computer screen.
